Name: Falling Foam, Parachute In A Can, Personal Airbag, The "Oh Shit" Button

Description: Contained in a Can much similar to Restraint Foam, however the can for Falling Foam often times has a parachute emblazoned on the side. The cans for Falling Foam are a bit smaller than cans of Restraint Foam, and are incapable of spraying only part of the can. Once the can begins spraying Falling Foam, it will continue until the can empties.

    Abilities:

Parachute In A Can: Falling Foam in it's expanded form has a large surface area and a low mass, leading to it, and whatever it's encased, falling significantly slower in atmosphere. Additionally, all of the air pockets are able to compress or burst upon impact with the ground, dispersing the force of impact over a longer duration and therefor minimizing harm to whatever or whoever is encased inside.

Floats: Falling Foam has a low enough density that it floats on water.

    Limitations:

Ineffective for Capture Operations: Due to the greater size and quantity of air pockets in the foam, the tensile strength has been hampered to the point that someone encased in Falling Foam can break out on their own, given time.

    Conditional Limitations (Optional):

Unhelpful in Airless Environs: Because a lot of the utility of Falling Foam relies on creating drag to slow down a fall, in airless environments it is fairly useless for slowing descents.

Hard to Control: Because you're entirely restrained by the Falling Foam during the fall, you can't exactly steer the mass of foam. It'll land wherever the wind cares to take it.

How does it work: Much like Restraint Foam, the Falling Foam expands and hardens upon release from the pressurized can. However, the air pockets that form in the foam are larger and more numerous than in standard Restraint Foam. This results in it having a much larger volume than the same amount of restraint foam, as well as having many pockets that can compress or burst on impact, greatly lengthening the moment of impact, and therefor dispersing the force of the impact over a longer duration.

Flavor text: While trying to make a cheaper knock-off of restraint foam by tweaking the compound to form larger air pockets, and therefor use less material for the same size, a fringe scientist accidentally created Falling Foam. After experimenting with their newfound invention, they started marketing it as a "parachute in a can"

    Referenced Technologies (Optional): Restraint Foam

This app feels simple and plausible to me. I have no issue hitting it with a Pass.

Second Pass, will enjoy seeing what it adds.
